WORDS sustain me. They’re my bread and butter. My breakfast, lunch and dinner. My cup of tea (I am British, after all). I determine the best ones to use, write and edit them, manage them, manage people who write and edit them, and design around them. You could say I’m a wordfool.

As a journalist I use them judiciously. As an author I corrall them. As a copywriter I choose them carefully. As a designer I ensure they look their best. In return for all this use and abuse, words help me tell stories, engage audiences and, hopefully, continue to make a living.

Here are some results of our symbiotic relationship. And here are some words to describe me.
